Unterliederbach-Mitte
City part: West | State: 2025
Unterliederbach-Mitte contains the historic village centre along the Liederbach. Fachwerk houses, the baroque village church and small streets retain the older settlement pattern, while surrounding apartment buildings connect the area with modern Höchst. Local shops and community facilities make it the everyday centre of Unterliederbach. The stream corridor and surviving village architecture distinguish it from the larger event, hospital and high-rise zones to the east and west. In Frankfurt’s statistical structure, Unterliederbach-Mitte is associated with the broader Unterliederbach area. What makes the area distinctive is the legible contrast between inherited settlement patterns and later housing, infrastructure or redevelopment. Older plot boundaries, street widths and surviving buildings make the area’s history visible in everyday movement, even where later development has altered the wider setting.
