Neuallermöhe: Fleetplatz
City part: Bergedorf | State: 2025
Fleetplatz functions as a recognizable local focal point within Neuallermöhe. Shops, services, public space and everyday pedestrian movement are more concentrated here than in quieter residential parts of the district, so the micro-area has a more active and outward-facing character. Describing Fleetplatz separately makes the local centre, rather than the whole parent district, the starting point for understanding daily life. Fleetplatz and smaller local centres concentrate shops, schools, childcare and community facilities, while the Allermöher See is a popular place for swimming, sport and summer recreation. S-Bahn stations at Allermöhe and nearby Nettelnburg provide direct links to central Hamburg; the A25 gives fast road access. Neuallermöhe’s special quality is its clearly planned relationship between housing and water: unlike the historic dike villages around it, the district interprets the marsh landscape through modern canals, compact development and a network of car-free green routes.
