Königsplatz: Alter Botanischer Garten

The Alter Botanischer Garten is a compact green retreat between Karlsplatz and the main station. Mature trees, lawns and the Neptune Fountain give the park a relaxed character despite the busy streets around it. The Neptune Fountain and mature planting give the park a recognizable center and a calmer visual focus amid the traffic and commercial intensity nearby. Strong public-transport access makes the area useful to a wider catchment, but also concentrates movement, noise and commercial activity around the main stops and corridors. Continuous paths link neighboring streets and districts, allowing the green space to function as both a destination and part of the everyday walking and cycling network.
