Harvestehude: Innocentiapark
City part: Eimsbüttel | State: 2025
Innocentiapark is the main local green reference point in this part of Harvestehude. The open or wooded landscape changes the scale of the surrounding streets and gives nearby housing a stronger connection to nature than the broader district description suggests. Paths, mature vegetation and the contrast between built-up blocks and open space are therefore central to the identity of this micro-area. Tree-lined avenues, private gardens and quiet streets around Pöseldorf and Klosterstern create a refined setting only minutes from the city centre. Local shopping and cafés are distributed along smaller streets and at Klosterstern, while U-Bahn and bus connections are strong. Harvestehude’s special appeal is the rare balance between monumental urban elegance and open water: residents are close to central culture and employment while living among mature greenery, historic architecture and uninterrupted Alster access.
