Reinickendorf: Teichstraße
City part: Reinickendorf | State: 2025
Teichstraße is a dense historic urban quarter in the borough of Reinickendorf. The local streetscape is chiefly defined by historic buildings and older street patterns; apartment buildings and compact residential blocks; railway lines, stations and strong transport connections; as well as parks, mature trees and everyday green space. How Teichstraße is used over the course of the day depends on the relationship between building scale, street greenery and the small spaces used repeatedly by residents. Teichstraße lies about 7.3 km northwest of central Berlin. From Teichstraße toward Humboldtstraße and Schäfersee, density, land use and street character shift step by step rather than at a sharp edge. The immediate streets and open spaces give Teichstraße a recognisable local identity of its own. Together, these elements make the quality of ordinary daily life rather than a single landmark central to the identity of Teichstraße.
